Effective
Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy
Cash on Delivery (COD) lets you pay the courier in cash when your parcel is delivered. COD is provided only through COD-eligible courier services on our shipping platform (EasyParcel). Our online payment provider is not involved in collecting or settling COD payments. COD is not yet active on this storefront; this policy describes the rules that will apply once it is enabled.
1. Where COD is available
COD is offered only when the shipping platform returns a COD-supported courier service for your address at checkout. Initially, COD is available in Peninsular Malaysia only. COD is not offered for Sabah, Sarawak or Labuan until a supported COD service is confirmed for those destinations and we decide to extend it.
2. COD service fee
The customer bears the COD service fee. The fee is shown at checkout before you confirm the order and is charged in addition to the product price and the shipping charge.
The COD fee is separate from the product price, the shipping charge, any shipping voucher or free-shipping benefit, and every internal cost. The RM3 shipping voucher and free standard shipping continue to apply to eligible shipping, but they never reduce the COD fee.
The COD amount, COD fee, shipping charge, shipping benefit and the final amount to collect are all calculated on our server. A total shown or submitted by your browser is never binding.
3. What you confirm when choosing COD
- Your delivery address is correct and complete.
- Your telephone number is correct and reachable by the courier.
- You agree to receive the parcel and to pay the confirmed COD amount to the courier on delivery.
4. Tracking
Every COD parcel is tracked through the shipping platform's and courier's official tracking: the shipping-platform order number, AWB / tracking number, courier and service, status history and delivery or return events. Official tracking is the record we rely on; customer-reported status is not used for COD decisions.
5. Failed deliveries are not treated as refusal
A failed delivery attempt is not, by itself, a refusal. The following situations are handled as ordinary delivery exceptions, with a courier retry, a return to sender or support assistance as appropriate, and never lead to an ordering restriction on their own:
- the recipient was not at home;
- the courier scheduled a retry;
- the telephone number was unreachable at the time of delivery;
- the address needed correction;
- a courier operational failure, weather event or other disruption;
- the parcel arrived damaged or the wrong parcel was delivered; or
- any failed delivery not clearly caused by refusal.
6. Confirmed refusal and ordering suspension
Where official courier or shipping-platform evidence confirms that the intended recipient refused to accept the COD parcel or refused to pay the confirmed COD amount, and there is no legitimate product or delivery dispute, the case is reviewed by our operations team. Only after that review may the order be classified as a confirmed, unjustified COD refusal.
A customer with a confirmed, unjustified COD refusal is permanently suspended from placing future orders through TAZA Commerce, and a new order attempt will not be accepted. Where damage, a wrong parcel, a courier error or another legitimate reason is evidenced, the case is handled through manual review and no suspension applies.
Refusing a parcel or the COD amount is treated by the courier as undeliverable and may result in return-to-sender charges borne by the sender; this is why official tracking must confirm the refusal before any restriction is applied.
7. Anti-abuse records and your data
To enforce an ordering suspension we keep only the minimum record needed to justify it: the originating order, the courier tracking event and reason, the review outcome and a minimal matching identifier. Access is restricted to authorised operations staff. Retention of personal data and evidence remains subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection and retention principles; a permanent commercial restriction does not mean raw personal data is kept indefinitely.
